A central system supplies several bathrooms or outlets from a shared hot-water source. Its value depends on demand and pipe layout: we review peak use and distances to the bathrooms to determine capacity, insulation and distribution. Separate heaters do not automatically mean inadequate supply.

Which boiler?
We work with more than one brand, and each answers a different worry: Bradford White runs with no external power — the answer to power cuts. Rheem has the Guardian system that shuts it down if the air around it becomes flammable, plus a T&P relief valve — the answer to fear of gas. And Ariston SGA comes in three capacities with published first-hour figures, so sizing is precise. The choice is settled at the inspection against your usage.
When it is not the right choice
For modest demand and short distances between outlets, compare the system’s cost and space with an instant heater. A suitable roof may also allow a forced-circulation solar system to serve the same outlets. Compare designs that meet the same demand, rather than appliances of different sizes.
