Enjoy your pool for more of the year
Extend the swimming season or plan year-round use with a design suited to your site. Aurora specifies the heat source, output, connections and controls around your chosen water temperature and schedule. Understand the proposed system and estimated operation before installation.
A heat pump uses electricity to move heat from the air into water. Other systems use a pool-compatible boiler or a heat source connected through an exchanger. Titanium describes exchanger material, not fuel type or heating speed; some heat pumps themselves contain titanium exchangers.
For winter operation, we check model performance at the conditions expected on site. Catalogue output has rating conditions, and an operating range does not mean identical output throughout that range. Initial warm-up time and the output needed to maintain temperature are considered separately.
A suitable cover reduces evaporation when the pool is not in use. Before increasing heater output, we review whether a cover is available, when it is used and how staff handle it. If it does not suit operations, the design accounts for uncovered losses and their effect on equipment and consumption.
For an existing pool, we review filtration, flow rates, equipment location and electricity or gas supply. Water treatment and chemical limits also inform exchanger selection; corrosion resistance does not permit operation outside the manufacturer’s water-quality limits.
Book a free assessment and tell us the pool location and desired season. Dimensions and plant-room photos help if available; our team will complete the details. Receive a clear recommendation covering the system, installation and estimated warm-up time.
Common questions about pool heating
Will heating let me use the pool year-round?
It can be designed for year-round operation when the system suits the load and site conditions. Define the required winter water temperature and review losses, equipment performance and cover use. Extending a season and operating all year are different design targets.
Why does a cover matter so much?
A cover reduces evaporation losses when the pool is unused. Actual benefit depends on cover type and consistent use. If it will not be used, the design and consumption estimate must account for that rather than assume savings that will not occur.
How is pool heating calculated?
We review water volume, surface area, weather, wind, target temperature, schedule and cover use. Initial warm-up and temperature maintenance are assessed before checking the model’s actual output under site conditions.
Can heating be added to an existing pool?
It may be possible after reviewing filtration, flow, plant-room space and energy supply. The work may require changes to circulation, electrical provision or pipework, with any downtime included in the installation plan.
Do you work with hotels and projects?
Yes. We review pools for hotels, resorts, compounds and clubs, including each pool’s requirements, schedule and servicing plan. Multiple pools also require a review of individual controls, loads and operation.
