Can solar water heaters carry a hotel operating year round?
The solar system covers the larger share of the hot-water load through the year, and the auxiliary source completes it on overcast days and at peak occupancy. The correct design is hybrid, with solar as the primary source and a ready backup, not solar alone.
How do you size a system for a hotel?
We start with a site survey: room count, expected occupancy, the type of draw-off points such as showers, tubs, basins, laundry and kitchen, and the peak hours. From those we derive the critical hourly load, which then sets collector count, storage volume and the auxiliary source.
Does installation disrupt hotel operations?
We work in phases against a schedule agreed with the operations team. Final tie-ins happen during low-occupancy windows, and the system is split into units so one part keeps running while another is connected.
