Companies, contracting & factories

Companies, contractors and factories are the largest segment in the Aurora record and the most varied, spanning sanitary hot water for shift workers through to hot water that feeds the process itself.

The defining constraint is that the system is designed inside a facility that already exists: a roof with a known load capacity, an existing pipe network, and a delivery date tied to the main contractor schedule.

What makes an industrial or construction project different

  • A clear split between sanitary and process hot water, since each has its own target temperature, water quality and route.
  • Load follows shifts rather than daylight, so the peak draw can fall after sunset and storage is sized accordingly.
  • Roof load capacity and fixing routes are reviewed before any supply, so mounting is designed around the existing structure.
  • Tying into an existing boiler or steam network instead of replacing it, where that is the more economical route.
  • Phased handover with warranty documents and as-built drawings, so the package enters the owner project file.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you install on a running factory without shutdown?

In most cases yes. Installation splits into a preparation phase outside the production path, covering bases, collectors and new pipework, and a short tie-in phase scheduled with plant management during planned downtime or between shifts.

The plant already has a boiler, so what does solar add?

The solar system acts as a pre-heat stage ahead of the boiler, so the boiler receives warmer feed water and runs for less time to reach the same target temperature. It is connected to the existing network rather than replacing it.

What documentation is handed over with the project?

An as-built system drawing, equipment data and model references, warranty terms, and a proposed preventive maintenance plan. That package is what lets any later service team work on the system.
